New Patient Dental Health Check Up

As a private clinic we pride ourselves in being readily available and flexible towards the needs of every patient. Before we carry out any treatments, we always advise that patients have a thorough assessment of their dental health, so the right treatments can be reccommeneded by an experienced clinician.

What is a Full Dental Health Checkup?

The Teeth…

First we look for dental decay or erosion to you teeth. We look for any damage to fillings, crowns, bridges or any other restorations from previous procedures, before recommending an x-ray of your teeth for further inspection.

The Gums & Bone…

We will check the overall health of your gums to identify if there are any signs of gum disease. Whilst doing this we will be able to outline some simple tips to ensure your gums stay healthy in the future.

The Soft Tissues…

We will also inspect the soft tissues in and around your mouth to detect early signs of oral cancer. This will include a thorough inspection of your tongue lips and cheeks. This important check is often overlooked.

The dental health check will also enable our clinicians to advise you on recommended treatments or procedures which will benefit your long term oral health. We will present you with a no obligation treatment plan detailing the estimated cost and timescales for any additional work which will help improve your smile!
