What Dental Implant Options Are There?

Dental implants are in effect small posts which are fixed in the gum to act as a base for fixing crowns (single teeth), bridges (multiple teeth joined) or dentures. This allows you to replace missing teeth or dentures, providing complete comfort and stability. There are predominantly 4 types of implant procedure which we provide here at Dentistry @ Oceana Boulevard which are:

Single Tooth

If you would like to replace a missing tooth with a tooth which feels natural and fixed, single implants are a great option for you. First an implant is placed into the gumline, then a suitable crown can then be locked into that implant to give you complete comfort when eating, drinking or talking.

Multiple Teeth

If you have multiple teeth missing then we can advise you on the best course of action using dental implants. This often involves placing multiple implants into the gum, which are then fixed to either crowns (Single Teeth) or Bridges (Multiple Teeth Joined) to restore your smile.

Fixed Dentures

If you have dentures and love the way your teeth look but struggle with the day to day problems of wearing a removable denture, we have a solution. Dentures can now be fixed into place using implants, meaning no more worries or embarrassment about them falling out or moving!

You may have heard others mention the term teeth in a day? Well, it is possible, this treatment has become incredibly popular across all age groups in recent years as it will provide you with a completely new smile in just one day. This is an alternative option to fixed dentures.
